We were pleasantly surprised this past weekend when we received a letter from PS 33 Chelsea Prep’s Principal Linore Lindy. It was a welcome letter to all parents of students who are attending PS 33 – regardless of NYC gifted and talented program status. Overall, we were quite impressed with the letter and the detail Principal Linore Lindy outlined the expectations of the students and parents for the upcoming school year. We didn’t know all the special features from P.S. 33 Chelsea Prep until we read this letter. Here is a list of items listed on the letter from Principal Linore Lindy:

The letter that Principal Linore Lindy sent to the parents was well written, thorough and gave us additional confidence in P.S. 33 Chelsea Prep School. The Principal also wrote a nice little separate note to the students telling them about her activities over the summer and books she read about artists. On the other side of the note was an image of one of Georgia O’Keefe’s paintings.

The orientation breakfast is next week -the week of August 24. At that time we’ll get to meet other parents whose children are in the gifted and talented programs for NYC at PS 33 Chelsea Prep.  I’ll provide an update after the breakfast of what all happened.
