Here’s information on the advance math information session next week:

As parents wait for gifted and talented school placement letters it’s a great time to focus on techniques to enrich your child’s math skills beyond OLSAT test type questions!

I recently met Brian Zen who has developed an absolutely amazing way to teach children math. I’ve personally witnessed his son adding double-digits in his head at the age of 5 and his daughter multiplying double-digits with addition included in the problem in her head at the age of 7. Brian is going to have a free seminar next week for parents who are interested in learning more about this new method of teaching young children advanced math skills.

This session will fill up quickly so let me know immediately if you want to attend. Space is extremely limited for only 10 parents to attend and you’ll be able to ask his children math problems yourself during the session!

Here are 2 videos of his daughter and son utilizing the Zen method of math. This is truly amazing and I’ve personally asked these 2 children complex math problems like the ones shown in the video.

Here’s the background on Brian:

A finance professor at St. John’s University, Brian Zen, CFA, spent 7 years studying various mental math teaching system around the world. He took the best elements from each teaching system and invented his own training methods designed to improve a child’s concentration, self-confidence, numbers sense and financial IQ. The result is quite amazing:

Why mental math? Legendary financier Jim Rogers wrote to his young daughter: “Learn to do as much arithmetic and figures as possible in your head. This may sound strange, considering that calculators are everywhere, but you will have a leg up by understanding the numbers better than others, while also noticing anomalies others miss. Besides, what will they do when they’ve left their calculators at home? This will be a huge advantage for you as few will be able to keep up with you.” Warren Buffett and John D. Rockefeller are both know for being able spot math errors just by looking columns of numbers.

Part of the training methods seems to use the aid of fingering movements. If so, the method is highly recommended for children below 10 linking finger movements and the brain. Nice work!
