OLSAT Testing Sites Undercover!

I recently attended an OLSAT and Bracken testing site at PS 282 Park Slope in Brooklyn on a wintry Sunday morning in early Feb. I was able to meet members from TestingMom.com (the site with over 600 practice OLSAT and Bracken questions) to see what all the fuss is about as it pertains to these sites that conduct OLSAT testing over the weekend for 4 years olds. I walked into the facility and was then directed to sit patiently in the auditorium as the test proctors slowly emerged one after another to find their children they are testing.   After about 10 minutes of waiting the DOE representative and OLSAT test proctor marched into the auditorium with clipboards in hand to take attendance, check birth certificates/IDs (they are VERY thorough when it comes to identification and ask the child their name to make sure it matches up) and make sure that everyone was accounted for who was ready to take the OLSAT level A or level B – depending on their age.
